Middendorf and Reuss Construction, is seeking an experienced carpenter foreman. M&R has been a family-owned business since 1987. Responsibilities
- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
- Perform daily record keeping as required for safety and crew production goals
- Follow project plans and schedules to ensure that crews meet deadlines
- Work side by side with the crew – framing/trim/exterior finishes
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
- Drive job site safety and promote safety culture. As foreman it is your responsibility to keep your crew in a safe working environment and to take all necessary persuasions to do so
- Assist in cost control with the PM/Superintendent
- Hold weekly toolbox talks, every crew member must participate and sign off
- Fill out daily log after every work day
- Manage manpower requirements every day/week with the PM/Superintendent
- Required to make sure everyone on your crew is clocked in properly and on time
- Communicate with subcontractors to manage workflow and safety
Requirements
- 5 years + of construction experience.
- Experience in managing carpenter crews and subcontractors
- Knowledge of construction procedures and equipment.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Ability to work from heights.
- Have a clear understanding of all blueprint drawings and specifications.
- Must be a union carpenter or willing to join
- Follow all union drug policies and safety protocols
- Have the ability to stand or bend for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
