Middendorf and Reuss Construction is a general contractor located in Freeburg, IL. We are experienced in residential, commercial, medical and restoration construction. We specialize in working with homeowners to build their dream home. We take great pride in our work and a principle member of our team is involved in each project from start to finish. Our goal is to deliver every project on time and within our customer’s budget.

OWNER
Mike Middendorf
Mike is the owner of Middendorf and Reuss Construction, Inc. He has worked at Middendorf and Reuss since 1990, became a partner in 1998 and took over sole ownership in 2018 with the retirement of his father. Mike resides in Waterloo, IL with his wife, Ellen, a hospice physician, and their twins, Josh and Riley. Mike’s vision for the company encompasses quality construction, prompt customer service and complete construction management. In his spare time, Mike enjoys showing cattle with his family, classic cars and hunting.

Collin Becker
Collin has over 20 years of experience as a carpenter and takes great pride in his work. Collin’s Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather were all carpenters. Collin is married to his wife, Teri, and they are blessed with two boys, Dustin and Lukas. Collin was born and raised in Waterloo, IL where he resides today.

Rick Range
Rick has worked with Middendorf and Reuss Construction for nearly 20 years and takes great pride in his work. Rick resides in New Athens, IL with his wife and four children. When Rick isn’t working construction, he enjoys running the New Athens Little League Organization and coaching baseball.
Senior Project Manager/Estimator
Kevin Jacobsmeyer
Kevin has been in the St. Louis Construction market for over 33 years. He has been a Project Manager for over 25 of those years with a focus on managing customer’s needs and wants. Kevin joined Middendorf and Reuss in 2020. When he’s not at work, he loves to play golf and spend time with his wife Mary and their children and grandchildren.

Roger Kinzinger
Roger brings a strong foundation of experience with over 35 years in the construction industry with the last 13 of those years as a superintendent. Roger is responsible for overseeing and managing field personnel as well as coordination and scheduling of subcontractors, materials and on-site activities for specific projects and managing the safety and quality of the completed project. Roger also works with architects, engineers and owners to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget and is adept at building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, owners, and other trade contractors resulting in highly collaborative and effective teams with proven quality results. Roger holds several certifications, including Aerial Life Operator Qualification, Focus Four Hazards, CPR, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, STI Scaffolding 8 hour and UBC Journeyman leadership Program.
In addition, Roger also provides a role in estimating projects for Middendorf & Reuss, as well as project management.
In his free time, Roger enjoys farming, traveling, and spending time with his family including 4 grandsons.
Estimator
Chris Becker
Chris joined Middendorf and Reuss in February of 2020 and has brought over 35 years of residential and commercial experience working as carpenter and superintendent in the St. Louis surrounding area. Chris was born and raised in Columbia, IL where he resides today. Chris is deeply passionate in his work with the goal to delivering quality products to his customers. Chris is married to his wife, Sandy, and they are blessed with three children. Joel, Taylor, and grandsons Jackson and Brooks; Adam and Paige. Outside of work, Chris enjoys family time, boating, and fishing.
Project Manager
Travis Pruett
Travis has been in commercial construction in the Midwest area for over 19 years. Travis has experience in project management and estimating with focus on customers’ needs necessities. Travis joined Middendorf and Reuss Construction in August of 2021. Travis enjoys spending time with his wife Heather and 2 sons Nolan & Luke. When he is outside of work he enjoys outdoor activities including boating, fishing, hunting and watching his sons participate in sport activities.

Heather Middendorf
Heather joined Middendorf and Reuss in January 2017 and brings 20 + years of office/customer service experience. Heather resides in Waterloo, IL with her husband, Brad and together they have three daughters, Erica, Brandon and grandsons Rhett and Hudson; Reese and Madison. Outside of work, Heather enjoys family time.

Erica Shemonia
Erica joined Middendorf and Reuss Construction in September of 2021 and brings with her 8 years of office/customer service experience. Erica resides in Hecker, IL with her husband, Brandon, and their two boys, Rhett and Hudson. In her free time, Erica enjoys spending time with her family and reading.
